Ann also clarified that when she called her Twitter altercation with a Democratic strategist a “birthday gift,” she meant she was glad for the opportunity to discuss Democratic attacks against her for being a stay-at-home mom—which fed perfectly into her husband’s attempt to paint Obama responsible for the so-called war on women.
