MLB Suspends 6 Players Over Brawl

Six players were suspended and a total of seven fined for a brawl Thursday between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Royals starter Yordano Ventura received the harshest punishment, with a seven-game suspension for cursing at White Sox batter Adam Eaton, just a few days after being fined for participating in another fight with the Oakland Athletics. Royals pitcher Edinson Volquez, White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija, Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain, Kelvin Herrera, and Chris Sale also earned suspensions ranging from two to five games.
