Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is doubling down on his use of a government plane for a trip to Kentucky to watch the solar eclipse and meet with business leaders. “It was approved by the White House and there were reasons why we needed to use that plane that are completely justifiable,” Mnuchin said on NBC’s Meet the Press. Mnuchin’s comments come just two days after Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price resigned over his use of private planes.
