Animated Disney film Moana reigned again at the box office this weekend, raking in an additional $28.4 million, for a two-week total of $119.9 million. In second place, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them officially became a blockbuster in its own right, selling $18.5 million in tickets. The Harry Potter prequel took in $183.5 million for a three-week domestic total. Moana’s dominance is expected to end this upcoming weekend when several studios introduce major movies as the holiday-movie season begins. Despite the brief dead zone in Hollywood’s release calendar, multiple art-house films had successful limited releases over the weekend, including the Jacqueline Kennedy biography starring Natalie Portman. Jackie played in five theaters and earned $275,000, and Jessica Chastain’s political drama Miss Sloane raked in $123,036 in just four theaters.
