They take soccer seriously in Brazil. Really seriously, according to reports that have recently been released. At an amateur soccer game last weekend in a small city in northern Brazil, a player angered the referee by refusing to leave the field after being sent off. As happens when someone takes things maybe a little too seriously, the ref allegedly fatally stabbed the player. This, in turn, angered a giant group of people who take things too seriously. The angry mob retaliated by storming the field and stoning the referee to death, then cutting off his head. Only one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.
