A dark light has fallen on Milan as a 22-year-old French model was reportedly found dead in the Italian city Thursday morning, the day before the beginning of Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week. A friend of French model Tom Nicon broke the news to the blog Isaac Likes that Nicon had fallen from his apartment window. Nicon’s agency, however, has declined to comment. "He did the Versace fitting this morning," the anonymous source explained. "After that he was supposed to go to his agency but he never arrived. I don't know if it was suicide or if he fell." In addition to Versace, Nicon has walked the runway for Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Hugo Boss, among others. An anonymous model told the blog, "People think we are young and beautiful and rich and happy. But we're not. We go to castings and the directors take one look at us and then we're dismissed. You spend your whole life wondering what's wrong with you … It's not the fairytale life people would expect."
