Say continuing shutdown is ‘untenable.’

A group of Republican representatives is growing restive as the government shutdown enters its third day, telling reporters they think the GOP “fought the good fight” and could no longer justify prolonging the stalemate. “Though it might be a political loss for us, this is an untenable situation,” said Rep. Mike Grimm of New York. Speaker John Boehner hosted small groups of concerned members yesterday, but Republican sources say currently he has no intention of bringing a “clean” resolution to fund the government to the floor.
