It was TV’s biggest night, and, once again, Mad Men came out on top. The show won best drama for the fourth straight year. In the best comedy category, Modern Family won for the second straight year, while two of its stars, Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, won for best supporting comedy actor and actress, respectively, and the show's director and writers also took home honors. Mike and Molly's Melissa McCarthy, who had a scene-stealing role in Bridesmaids, won the award for best actress in a comedy. Meanwhile, Mad Men star Jon Hamm has yet to take home an award for his role on the show, losing this year to Friday Night Lights' Kyle Chandler. In the best actress in a drama category, Julianna Margulies took home the trophy for The Good Wife, and Kate Winslet won for best actress in a miniseries for Mildred Pierce.
