A mother drove from Florida to West Virginia with her 11-year-old daughter’s body in the car, police said, before crashing into a guard rail on Sunday and dragging the child’s body into the woods. Erica Newsome, 37, reportedly told police that she departed Jacksonville on Friday en route to Buffalo, New York, where her daughter’s father lives. Newsome is behind bars on $50,000 bail. Authorities in Florida believe the young girl died in Jacksonville as a result of foul play.
