Mom Killed Kids When She Saw Amber Alert

Children aged 6 and 7.

The Indiana mother who was charged in the deaths of her two children following a September Amber Alert has admitted in a television interview that she smothered her son and daughter after shooting the man they were staying with. She said she killed them after she found out there was an Amber Alert out on them. “I gave them a choice,” Amber Pasztor told WANE-TV. “That they could live, traumatized like their mom, or they can go to heaven with God and be better off.” Pasztor, 29, allegedly murdered 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pastzor after taking them from a Fort Wayne home on Sept. 26. After she reportedly smothered the children, she drove to a police department and told an officer that her kids were dead in the car.
