MSNBC’s Morning Joe will no longer allow presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway to appear on its air, so long as Mika Brzezinski is around. The co-host of the Beltway-centric gabfest revealed Wednesday that Conway often personally texts directly to schedule an interview on the show. However, Brzezinski said, because, “Every time I’ve ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off, or incorrect”—referring to Conway’s recent string of TV commentary proven false or troubling at best—“I will say: Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, just as long as I’m on it, because it’s not happening here.” Brzezinski went a step further and suggested Conway is simply seeking attention: “I don’t even think she’s saying things she knows to be untrue, she’s just saying things just to get in front of a TV set and prove her relevance because behind the scenes, she’s not in these meetings. She’s not credible anymore.” The move comes just one day after the Morning Joe hosts lambasted Conway as having lost all credibility.
