After hundreds of Islamists sentenced to death.

Egypt's public prosecutor was assassinated Monday by a bomb in Cairo. A bomb was reportedly placed in a parked car near Hisham Barakat's convoy. Barakat, who has referred ousted president Mohammed Morsi and thousands of other Islamists for trial, is the highest-profile Egyptian official to be assasinated since the Arab Spring. Hundreds of them—including Morsi—have been sentenced to death.
