Rapper Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, was arrested in South Africa for trying to use a "world passport." The rapper and activist had been living in South Africa since 2013 and tried to leave the country with the unofficial document. A Department of Home Affairs officials says the country doesn't recognize "world passports" and that the rapper had entered the country with a valid U.S. passport. He allegedly stayed past his allowed date on a visitor's permit and now has two weeks to leave the country.
