There's plenty to like for the White House in the newest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, which suggests that the president is making the right decision by attempting to find common ground with Republicans following the Democrats' bruising in November. Nearly two-thirds of Democrats polled say they want their party to compromise with the GOP on legislation. Almost three-quarters of Americans surveyed said they like the president personally. Obama's job approval rating is middling—45 percent—but it has held steady for much of the year.
