While Obama administration officials have claimed that the tens of thousands of immigrant families caught illegally crossing the border face deportation when they are released into the U.S. with orders to report back to immigration authorities, it turns out most haven't. Roughly 70 percent of those families fail to report within 15 days to federal immigration agents, and end up disappearing within the U.S. The disclosure came during a confidential Department of Homeland Security meeting with immigration advocates, and was confirmed with participants.
