MSNBC Apologizes to RNC Chair

MSNBC President Phil Griffin apologized to RNC Chair Reince Priebus for a controversial tweet that prompted him to call for a conservative boycott of the network. On Wednesday night, MSNBC tweeted a link with the line "Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go aww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family.” In response, Riebus instructed all RNC staffers and surrogates to refuse to go on MSNBC until Griffin “personally and publicly apologize for this behavior.” The network removed the tweet and fired the staffer responsible.
