First Taco Bell, then General Motors, and now Wrigley: All three endorsers have revoked their advertising from MTV's controversial new show Skins. Wrigley recently announced that "it was never our intent to endorse content that could offend consumers." Advertisers have received pressure to drop their endorsements from the Parents Television Council, which dubbed the new series "the most dangerous television show for children that we have ever seen," and called for a federal investigation into whether it violates child-pornography laws, among other offenses. An advertisement for H&R Block also appeared during the show, but the company insists it was an accident and that it wants nothing to do with the show. MTV claims it’s taken "numerous steps" to alert viewers to the show's racy subject matter.
