Complicating his successors’ effort to bring him to justice, ousted Egypt President Hosni Mubarak has been diagnosed with cancer, his defense lawyer says. “Mubarak has cancer and this was included in the last medical report,” said his attorney Farid al-Deeb on Monday. “He is not dying, but he might reach this stage soon,” he added. Mubarak is due on the stand on August 3; he will be on trial for abuse of power and killing protesters.
