It’s been a whirlwind week for Suzanne Mubarak: she was hauled in for questioning by Egyptian officials, reportedly experienced a heart attack, agreed to hand over $4 million in personal assets to the finance ministry, and now will be released from custody. The wife of deposed president Hosni Mubarak is still in a hospital, where she was taken when she had some sort of medical emergency after being told she would be interrogated. An official in charge of investigating illicit gains said she didn’t have any illegal profits—although she did claim ownership of a villa that turned out to belong to the government—but that an investigation was ongoing.
