Robert Mueller, the special counsel now handling the Russia investigation, reportedly met with Rep. Mike Conaway and Rep. Adam Schiff on Tuesday to make sure that their similar, parallel investigations do not conflict with one another. “We are setting up a system to deconflict,” Conaway said after the meeting. Mueller has been expanding the scope of his investigation and is believed to now also be focusing on the potential that President Trump obstructed justice when he fired former FBI director James Comey.
