Mummified Body Believe to be Former Playmate

Yvette Vickers acted in Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.

Los Angeles County coroners are working to confirm that a mummified body found in the home of former Playboy Playmate and B-movie actress Yvette Vickers is hers. The body was discovered last week by a neighbor who noticed letters and cobwebs in Vickers' mailbox. She then went to her home and discovered a body upstairs next to a still-running space heater. The body appeared to have been there anywhere from several months to a year. The 82-year-old Vickers appeared in cult B-movies like Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and Attack of the Giant Leeches, and she was Playboy's Playmate of the Month in July 1959. “She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit,” the neighbor said. “To the end she still got cards and letters from all over the world requesting photos and still wanting to be her friend.”
