In case you were wondering what 21st Century Fox CEO Rupert Murdoch thinks of Ridley Scott’s decision to cast all-white actors in his upcoming Biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, the media mogul took to Twitter to write, “Moses film attacked on Twitter for all white cast. Since when are Egyptians not white? All I know are.” Apparently alarmed by the firestorm his last tweet drew, Murdoch then posted a second one, saying, “Everybody-attacks last tweet. Of course Egyptians are Middle Eastern, but far from black. They treated blacks as slaves.” Murdoch then concluded his lesson on the history of race by writing, “Okay, there are many shades of color. Nothing racist about that, so calm down!” The film stars Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Egerton as Ramses, and Aaron Paul as Joshua.
