So much for family. On Saturday, North Korea confirmed the dismissal of Kim Jong-un's uncle by marriage, Jang Song Thaek, for committing "criminal acts." Jang was previously considered the second-most powerful man in North Korea and handled discussions with China. "Jang and his followers committed criminal acts baffling imagination and they did tremendous harm to our party and revolution," the North Korean state news agency reported.
