N. Korea Launches 7 Missiles

South Korea officials said.

North Korea launched seven short-range missiles into coastal waters, South Korea officials said Friday. A South Korean defense ministry official said the surface-to-air missiles were fired from North Korea’s western coast and fell into the sea off the eastern coast. The missile test comes as the U.S. and South Korea continue their joint military drills, which North Korea has decried as preparation for war. Pyongyang fired two short-range missiles on the first day of the drills in protest of the annual exercise, which is expected to continue until April.
