N. Korea Threatens New Nuclear Test

Tantrum

Over UN human rights criticism.

North Korea assailed a United Nations resolution condemning its record on human rights and suggested it will carry out a new nuclear test in retaliation. In a statement released by the foreign ministry, the regime described the resolution passed by the U.N. on Tuesday as "fraud" and an attempt by the United States to embarrass North Korea. "We completely reject the forceful passage of this resolution, led by the United States with the aim of overthrowing [our] people-centered socialist system," the ministry said in the statement reported by the state-run KCNA news agency. "This aggression by the U.S. leaves us unable to further refrain from staging a new nuclear test."
