N. Korean Ad Parodies ‘Gangnam Style’

Hey, why can’t a Cold War-era totalitarian regime that holds its own citizens in massive gulags get in on the Internet fun? The government of North Korea may not feed its people, but the isolated Communist country has jumped into the international craze around the song “Gangnam Style” by pop artist Psy, posting a clip parodying a South Korean presidential candidate that cribs from the music video. The original K-pop fantasia of a music video by Psy has been viewed more than 200 million times on Youtube. Park Geun-hye, a contender in the South Korean presidential election, is shown as a cartoon character doing a horse dance in the new clip.
