Rafael Nadal suffered a crushing loss to Czech Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Tuesday. Berdych, the No. 7 seed, won 6-2 6-0 7-6 (7-5), ending a 17-match losing streak against the Spaniard. Nadal, the 14-time grand slam winner and No. 3 seed, said there had been no physical issues, and that it was “just not my day.” Berdych will move on to face Andy Murray or Nick Kyrgios in the semis.
