Nancy Pelosi Missed House Vote

This is an almost Shakespearian conflict. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi missed the House vote Saturday night and early Sunday that delayed Obamacare—and almost guaranteed the government will shutdown—because she was celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary outside Washington, D.C. In a letter to colleagues, Pelosi said House Speaker John Boehner told her he “has the votes on his side of the aisle and will not need our help.” Yikes, awkward. Pelosi said she would return by Sunday. So where was this celebration that was almost definitely more fun than the Capitol?
