It's a parent's worst nightmare: On Thursday, a mother returned to her luxury Upper West Side apartment and found two of her children fatally stabbed in the bathtub. The nanny lay nearby with an allegedly self-inflicted slash to her throat, holding a bloody knife. A neighbor said she heard the mother “screaming in a psychotic state” and the building superintendent yelling, “You slit her throat!” The nanny has not been identified, but was arrested and taken to the hospital, where she is not expected to survive.
