Natalie Portman Shops Bawdy Comedy

Actress has written a female Superbad.

To the executives who have read it, Natalie Portman’s comedy script is just like Superbad, except it focuses on women. It may not sound like her, but the actress is now dabbling in writing. She and her college friend Laura Moses have spent the last few weeks shopping around their raunchy screenplay, called BYO, for Bring Your Own, but haven’t had much success. The story centers on a pair of twentysomething women with wildly different personalities who can’t seem to find a decent guy. So they throw a party where every woman attending is to bring an eligible bachelor. Hilarity probably ensues. Portman said that she would like to play one of the female leads and that Anne Hathaway has already expressed interest in starring alongside her.
