Awards season’s first big night is underway! Major TV awards went to Glee, which won best comedy, as well as awards for stars Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer. Boardwalk Empire picked up the TV drama prize. On the film side, Annette Bening won for her role in The Kids Are All Right, and Christian Bale and Melissa Leo for their supporting roles in The Fighter. The Social Network won big, with prizes for Aaron Sorkin's screenplay and David Fincher's direction. Natalie Portman picked up the dramatic actress award for Black Swan.
