National security adviser H.R. McMaster will resign, The New York Times reports, and he will be replaced by John Bolton. Bolton is a Fox News analyst and a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. McMaster’s departure comes a week after Trump fired his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, and it comes ahead of a potential summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. “After thirty-four years of service to our nation, I am requesting retirement from the U.S. Army effective this summer after which I will leave public service,” McMaster said in a statement.
