The president of Northern Arizona University called Friday morning’s shooting “unprecedented” and an “isolated” incident at a news conference. Rita Cheng promised that Friday “will not be a normal day,” and that though classes will continue on the Flagstaff campus, faculty and staff will be on alert to help students.
