The military’s track record of rape and the proceeding investigations doesn’t seem to be improving. Navy officials are currently looking into claims that three football players in the Naval Academy serially raped a female midshipman last year. The incident happened in April 2012, but the investigation has been on and off for more than a year as the girl, worried about backlash, originally declined to cooperate with officials. No charges have yet been filed, and the athletes were still allowed to play last fall, but the academy delayed one of the players' graduation.
