NBA ‘Deeply Concerned’ About North Carolina Anti-LGBT Law

The National Basketball Association said it is considering relocating its 2017 All-Star Game away from North Carolina after the state’s move Tuesday to pass legislation that prohibits local anti-discrimination ordinances. “We are deeply concerned that this discriminatory law runs counter to our guiding principles of equality and mutual respect,” the league wrote in a Thursday evening statement. “[We] do not yet know what impact it will have on our ability to successfully host the 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte.”
