NBA Players Agree to Resume Playoffs After Talks on Protests, Police Violence: Report

While games were not expected to go ahead as scheduled Thursday, early indications suggested they might be back on by sometime this weekend.

Less than 24 hours after the Milwaukee Bucks helped set off a wildcat strike across much of the professional sports world, NBA players had made progress in talks to resume their playoffs and season, ESPN reported. While discussions were ongoing, and it remained to be seen what concessions, if any, team owners had made in the face of raging protests over police violence against Black Americans, it appeared playoff games might resume sometime this weekend.
