Jerhonda Pace, who claimed she had an abusive sexual relationship with R. Kelly when she was 16 years old, told NBC News she gave authorities a piece of her clothing with the singer’s semen on it. Pace told the network she kept a blue t-shirt that had R. Kelly’s spit and semen on it, and gave it police in Olympia Fields, Illinois. “After he had spit on me, I wiped it off… with my t-shirt,” Pace said. Police reportedly confirmed they took a report from Pace and “collected some items” from her. Kelly’s lawyer, Steven Greenberg, said he was not aware of any claims involving DNA evidence on a t-shirt. In a 2017 BuzzFeed News report, Pace said Kelly repeatedly had sex with her while filming the encounters.
