Bad news for Community fans. NBC will pull the low-rated show from its schedule in order to free up space for 30 Rock, which will return on Thursdays at 8 p.m. starting Jan. 12, taking Community’s old spot. NBC made no mention of Community in its press release announcing the winter 2012 lineup, but a spokesman said the show is “on the bench for a bit” and will eventually return. Other changes include Up All Night’s move to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, and Whitney’s shift from Thursday to Wednesday.
