NBC Ratings Drop 9 Percent

We’re only through the first month of the new TV season, and already viewers are fleeing NBC. According to the latest Nielsen figures, only 3.3 million adults under 50 have been watching prime-time NBC, a drop of 9.3 percent from the same period last year. If you leave out NFL games, which air Sunday nights, the network’s 18- to 49-year-old audience is 2.2 million, down 16 percent. The Peacock Network is still doing the worst among its competitors: Fox’s ratings are up 11 percent, CBS is down 2.3, and ABC is down 5.8.
