The teenage basketball player who gained national fame for sharing her battle with brain cancer died Friday at age 19. Lauren Hill, a freshman at Mount St. Joseph University in Ohio, was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma at age 18. She went on to start a foundation to raise money for a cancer cure, and played in her first and only NCAA game in November.
