At least two neighbors of one of the alleged London attackers say they reported him to police after he tried to convert their children to radical Islam in a local park, according to reports. Police say Khuram Shazad Butt, Rachid Redouane, and Youssef Zaghba killed seven people and wounded 48 more on Saturday on London Bridge. Butt, 27, was known to authorities before the attack, and he was part of a radical group that drew attention after interacting with children in the park. “The gathering, it didn’t look normal. They were talking to the kids about the religion. Kind of like they were imposing themselves. And giving them sweets... and playing football with them,” said Erica Gasparri. “The main talk was about religion, how good it’s to be Muslim, to the [point] that my kids came home and said ‘Mummy, can we become Muslim? There is a gentleman telling us, teaching us.’” Officials have faced questions in recent days over what they knew about Butt before he plotted the attack.
