Neo-Nazi Rally Turns Violent

'Sieg Heil'

Groups square off in L.A. over immigration.

Fifty neo-Nazis took to Los Angeles’ City Hall to rally against illegal immigration as hundreds of counterprotesters attempted to disrupt the proceedings this weekend. Police officers stood between the two groups as members from the National Socialist Movement took the podium shouting “Sieg Heil” before continuing their racial, anti-Semitic and misogynistic taunts. The group from Detroit picked Los Angeles due to the large immigrant population they accused of stealing jobs and committing crimes. Five people were arrested, all of them counterprotestors. After the rally, the neo-Nazis were pelted with rocks, branches and other items hurled over the police line and into the area where the white supremacists had left their cars.
