Netanyahu: Iran Deal Is Historic Mistake

Israeli Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu condemned the landmark nuclear deal with Iran before it was finalized Tuesday, describing it as “a bad mistake of historic proportions.” Before a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders in Jerusalem, Netanyahu warned any deal was a giving Iran a “sure path to nuclear weapons.” Other officials, including Israel’s Minister of Science, Technology and Space Danny Danon, called the Vienna deal disappointing, while Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennet described it as an “eternal shame.” In a tweet Tuesday afternoon, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani dismissed Netanyahu’s outrage as “Zionist propaganda” and promised its neighboring countries that “Iran & its power will translate into your power.”
