Netflix has changed the pricing of its plans so that customers who want both streaming videos and DVDs by mail will pay an additional $6 each month. Customers currently can pay $7.99 month a streaming video, plus $2 each month to receive one DVD at a time by mail. The streaming-video price won’t change, but starting in September, customers will need to pay $7.99 each month for a DVD-by-mail plan, bringing the total to $15.98 per month. The company appears squeezed under current pricing to both purchase and ship the discs and then license movies for streaming. Customers were outraged, posting nearly 17,000 comments on Netflix’s Facebook page.
