Unfortunately for Chris Christie, it doesn’t look like the ‘Bridgegate’ scandal will be over any time soon. Hundreds of pages of email documents released Friday reveal that the New Jersey’s top two Port Authority appointees--who have since resigned--kept lanes closed on the George Washington Bridge for three more days after receiving warnings that the manufactured gridlock was causing potentially life-threatening problems for emergency vehicles in Fort Lee. The newly-released documents also implicate Port Authority Chairman David Samson, who issued a statement earlier in the week claiming he had no knowledge of the lane closings.
