Congresswoman to appear on People cover, ABC News.
Gabrielle Giffords is apparently ready to begin speaking with the press again, as the U.S. congresswoman is on the cover of the latest issue of People and will appear on television with Diane Sawyer on Nov. 14. The advertisements for the ABC News interview feature a shot with her in a hospital bed not long after she was shot in the head, showing just how far she’s come. In other encouraging Giffords-related news, Daniel Hernandez Jr., the intern who helped save her life after the shooting, was elected this week to a Tucson-area school board.
