There's new life in the federal investigation into John Edwards' campaign finances. An attorney for the erstwhile presidential candidate says that new subpoenas have been issued in the case, although he did not discuss who received the subpoenas and what information they were seeking. Last year, both Edwards' longtime aide Andrew Young and his mistress Rielle Hunter testified before a grand jury in Raleigh, North Carolina. Young has claimed that lots of money was spent to keep Hunter in hiding. In total, Hunter, who has a child with Edwards, was paid $114,000 for video production and footage during the campaign. After 30 years of marriage, Edwards and his wife Elizabeth have separated.
