It’s the end of an era. New York magazine will only come out once every two weeks, the magazine announced Monday. Instead of 42 issues a year, New York will now only publish 26, plus three special issues (best doctors, gift guide, and a food-and-drink issue). Cutting down to biweekly will likely save the magazine $3.5 million, which will be invested into the website, which includes NYmag.com, Vulture.com, The Cut, and Grub Street. Digital revenue has been growing at a rate of 15 percent year-over-year, said Lawrence C. Burstein, the magazine's publisher.
