The assistant coach of the New York Jets died Thursday following a bike accident five days ago. Greg Knapp was 58. A driver hit him as he was bicycling on Saturday, and he was hospitalized in the days that followed. Knapp’s agent, Jeff Sperbeck, wrote in a statement, “Today at 11:32 am PST, Greg Knapp (aka Knapper) was called back home to Heaven, where he will be reunited with his Dad.” Knapp had also worked as a coach for the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos.
