New York Post Preps for Hack Probe

Rupert Murdoch’s phone-hacking scandal could be coming stateside. The editor of the sensationalist New York Post, which is also owned by Murdoch's News Corp., has told his employees to preserve any documents that may relate to phone hacking or bribery of government officials—possibly in response to a pending probe by the U.S. Justice Department. Editor Col Allan told staffers in a memo on Friday that the precaution was being taken “not because recipient has done anything improper or unlawful.” The Justice Department is preparing subpoenas to investigate claims that voicemails of 9/11 victims were hacked.
